Summer Update 2012

Wow, I kind of suck at remembering to update this more than once every few months. But, most of the time, I'm busy with a little thing called life. Life has been so crazy over the past few months. I managed to get on the Dean's List for both semesters this past year. I got an internship this summer that has just recently ended. I had one heck of a school year and one heck of a summer, but I've made it through. I know nobody probably even reads this blog, but it helps me vent my ideas, thoughts, feelings, and emotions. If I didn't have a place to put everything, I don't know what I'd do and I do keep a journal, but having a stranger come by once in a blue moon and maybe even read a sentance or two makes a person feel good.

But, as for school, a new semester is coming up within the next two weeks. I can't wait for it to start. I'm taking two upper level history classes, one upper level political science class, one upper level human development course (which is apart of my pre-education course load), and an introductory psychology class. It should be interesting to see how it all turns out. The only teacher I know personally is my political science teacher because I had her before for a class this past fall. So, that class shouldn't be too extremly hard because I know what to expect. But, the other teachers, I have no idea about. But, in the end, it should go by smoothly. I should hopefully do really well in the Colonial America History class. That class sounded interesting since I first saw it on the list of classes I could take. I've heard that the teacher is hard though, as in she gives a lot of writing assignments and excepts a lot of juice out of the readings. I've done a lot worse in my life, so it doesn't really matter in the end.

As for my personal life, my family is being their sterotypical crazy selves and my boyfriend is away on a vacation. My boyfriend, Kitty, went to Chicago on tuesday and should be back on saturday or sunday. I miss him...a lot. But, that's ok, a few days apart are meant to show how much you love and miss the person. Boy, how it is doing that perfectly. But, I will see him again in a few days. I have been trying to pass the time since he left by going out with friends, helping my family out and doing stuff for my brother's high school marching band. I just can't believe he's going to be starting school here in less than a week and he's going to be a senior in high school. One of my next door neighbors, Amanda, graduated from high school back in June and is heading upto Radford with me in a few weeks. It feels so weird that she's going to be going to school with me yet again. The last time we went to the same school was way back in the day when we went to Green Valley Elementary School (I know, makes me feel old because I am such an old fart). Not only that, but she's majoring in something similar to my major. She's doing elementary education, while I'm doing secondary social studies education, with a second major in history. So, it feels weird saying that we're going to be going to school together.

As for my family, they are their crazy selves. My brother is still a paranoid germaphobe. My mom is still her crazy self. She hasn't been able to find a job yet, but she has been able to find a way to go back to college and get a certifate in something she has been itching to do for years now. She's going back to get her certifate in Medical Billing and Coding, which basically means she'll be able to get all the coding right, so that your insurance doesn't get screwed up and is sent to the right places. She's been wanting to do that for years and now, she has her chance. She's signed up for four classes as of right now and she's nervous, excited, and other things as well. She's just has a number of emotions going through her head right now as she is about to head off to school. But, as for my dad, he's his typical self. Don't know what to say about him besides he's himself.

But, as for the rest of my life, it's life. It goes on and on and on, as usual. I just hope that the next week or so goes by quickly, so that I can go up to Radford and start enjoying my semester and getting it done. I have been waiting for this for the entire summer and that's saying quite a bit. As for now, goodbye and may peace be with you forever.

Life and School

Wow, I can't believe it's almost March already. In like a week, I'll be off for spring break, but not after like three mid-term exams, which is going to suck majorly. But, afterwards, I can worry about having nothing to do and all the time in the world....until I have to go back to school though. But, that shouldn't be too horrible. It means I've hit the halfway point and I don't have to worry too much any longer about school this semester. Means that I've made it halfway through one of the longest semesters of my life, so thank goodness for that. But, how are you guys hanging in out there in interweb land, to coin a word from Tyler Perry and Madea. I hope that you guys are doing incredibly well and that nothing is holding you down or bothering you. I would be sad if it was. I would try and make it all better and try to make you happy yet again. Well, I hope that you guys are doing good and nothing is bogging you down or anything, but I have to go and work on a couple assignments for classes, as well as study guides for the midterms, so I will talk to you guys here later on!!

Life, school, and love

Well, life is slowly coming along slowly but surely. I think this semester is the one that is going to kick my ass. I hope that it does not go too badly, but knowing my luck, it will be hell. But, at least Kitty and I are doing alright. Anyway, I hope that you guys are doing well and that you had a goods Valentine's day and a wonderful New Years!!

SOPA and NDAA-From an outsider view

Well, if any you haven't noticed, the Stop Online Piracy Act and the National Defense Authorization Act have been signed into law right around New Year. Apparently, President Obama at first didn't want anything to do with it, but then again, he signed it into law. But, recently, it was said that the White House didn't support neither of them. So, it leaves one to wonder, who is really supporting who and what?

Well, to begin, to fill you in on what these two acts basically are. The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is a law that would put even more power into the government's hands, letting them take down any website that they thing is putting up illegal material. But, it also makes it where the government is able to take down such websites as Facebook, Youtube, and Google. So, basically, anyone can say that it's theirs and have a website taken down, just because they say so. They could have a grudge against the website, thus saying that and leading to the take down of the website. So, this law is a bullshit law and should be taken down.

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is one of many Defense Authorization Acts that have been enacted annually, by the President of the United States. But, the NDAA 2012 basically gives the government the authority to detain anyone, even a law abiding United States citizen, on the aussumption of being a terriorist, and the person being detained can be held indefinately and without just cause basically.

So, what does this mean for America and her citizens? It means that the government can come and pick you up for being a suspected terrorist and hold you for as long as they wish, without even telling you what they're holding you for. It's as if America has turned against us in a time of need. But, don't blame the president entirely. He's not the only one at falt, if at fault at all. Think about it, since not a lot of people tend to think of it like this alot. You have to have laws come through Congress first. The House of Representatives first, followed by the Senate and then, it hits the President's desk, but not before. Plus, things usually starts with Congress. Only one time out of ten, I would say, the President starts a law into motion. So, don't always blame the President, even though he's not entirely blameless in this (and this is coming from a hardcore liberal democrat who voted for Obama).

So, what can you do to counter all of this bad, icky laws and acts? Talk to your Representatives in Congress. Senators, Congressmen, House of Rep people. Hell, even send stuff to the President. If we send out our voices and make it known that we will not stand for this intolerance, than we will be able to get stuff done. But, that's only if we all send things in and make the people aware of what's going on. We need to take a stance on these issues and make sure that America is a free place to come and learn and grow as people. If we can't stand up and have a free voice, then what are we? Definitely not America. So, go out and make your voice heard and use your first amendment rights!!

School Update 2011-2012-Update #1

Well, School started a few months ago and a lot has happened in those few months to say the least. I sprained my ankle again before heading off to school and then, I didn't talk to my boyfriends hardly at all uring the month of October, because I was being a dumbass to the extreme. Then, my boyfriend, kitty, got hit by a car and got amnesia. Couldn't even remember his last name or the day he was born. But, luckily, he has been slowly getting it back. So, that's a good thing and I'm happy he's been getting it back.

But, as for school, it's been one crazy year. I've had so many papers and projects to do for classes, that I'm suprised I've made it to November. But, in less than two weeks, I get off for Thankgiving break and I'm so happy about that. I've been waiting for a nice little break and I'm finally seeing one at the end of the tunnel so to say. I just can't believe that I'm getting mostly As and Bs this semester. There is only one class I fear that I might get a C in and that is Civil War and Reconstruction history. But, a lot of people I think, are in the same boat as I am because of the quizzes and stuff that we've gotten. So, I don't feel as bad now about the class. I'm just happy to be getting two As and two Bs this semester. I'm taking four upper level classes this semester and getting four As and Bs?! So, that's amazing to say the least and I'm happy. I just want to get through another year at Radford University and make it without going completly insane :P But, knowing my luck, I probably will go a little looney. But, it could be a lot worse; I could still be in the music department. Anyway, got to run, so I'll catch you guys later!! :)

Summer Upate #3

Well, finally got my loan stuff started for school. I can't believe that school starts up in about a month and I'll be heading back to Radford University. When I head back, I'm going to talk to my advisor about Double Majoring. I was thinking about Double Majoring in Social Science and History because I would only need five more classes to get my degree in both. Two of the classes, I could take whenever I needed to since they are both are offered every semester, every year. So, this year should be a very interesting year to say the least.

But, I kind of don't want to go back in a way. I don't want to have to work my ass off this semester, but I know it'll be worth it nonetheless. When I graduate, I'll graduate with two degrees and I'm also considering getting my Masters of Science in Education from Radford as well. But, that also means that I'll be stuck here in Virginia for another 18 months at least. But, I know that I'll be more marketable when I go and try to find a job. Plus, I know that Kitty and Scar like it more when I get my masters, so I know that it'll be good for it. So, wish me luck when I do all of the stuff to get all my degrees and everything.

But, how is everyone doing lately? I hope that everyone is doing good while you guys are preparing to go back to school and such. I know it can be stressful when everyone is trying to go back to school, especially with our economy like it is. We almost defulted on our debt and I won't say much about it except that not everyone gave up as much as they could (*cough* Republicans *cough*). Sorry, it's the Political Scientist in me. But, I hope that everyone is doing good while trying to get back to school and everything and for anyone that is a senior this year, good luck in your senior year!!!! :)

Well, since it's getting late, I'll let everyone go and finish whatever they need to do and everything. So, I hope that everyone has a good day and I'll catch you guys later!! :)

Summer Vacation 2011-Update #2

Well, seeing how it's been almost a month since my last update and everything, I thought I'd better post something up really quick. Been a long summer already, with the heat waves hitting everyone, everywhere. Hopefully, the heat will go away soon enough. But, I'm sure it will eventually and then, it'll be fall and everything.

But, one of the reasons why I haven't quite posted lately is that I have been recovering from a sprained ankle, which isn't very pleasant. If you've ever had one, I feel your pain. For those of you who are more fortunate and haven't ever sprained or broken an ankle or foot before, I don't wish this upon any of you guys. But, my ankle is healing up quite nicely and it has been itchy the past day or two, so that tells me it's healing up like it should.

Well, at least the summer is going along quite nicely and everything. I have the Praxis I retake tomorrow and that should be interesting to say the least. I tried it the first time back in March, over my spring break and then, I didn't pass two parts of it, so I have to retake them. I just hope that I can get a good grade on them and hopefully pass them so that I can go onto my VCLAs and get them done for my Praxis IIs, so I can student teach, so that I can get done at Radford. I won't be sheding any tears when I graduate.

Anyways, my summer's going good thus far and I hope the rest of it goes good and everything and I hope that you guys' summer goes good as well. Well, I better let you guys so, so I'll talk to you guys later!!

Summer Vacation 2011-Update #1

Well, it's been almost two months into Summer Vacation. It's been a crazy summer already and a lot has happened. As I sit here, typing this up, I wonder about how much has happened over the past couple years since I have started college. It seems as college has done a once over upon me and showed me a lot of things, both good and bad. But, in the end, it has shown me how strong I am. it has also shown me to take the little things in life and enjoy them, because you never know when they might disappear for good. And, it also taught me that you shouldn't take moments for granted. No moment should, no matter how small the moment might be, it's an important one.

But, summer is coming along and I can't believe not long from now, it'll be the Fourth of July weekend and we'll be setting off fireworks and have our BBQs. I want to have a good summer this summer. I want to have a summer like no summer before. It's 2011 people, it's time to catch up with the game and start having fun!! Go out and enjoy life, right now. Go.... :P Go and have fun and I'll catch you guys later!! :)

So, spring break is over....what now??

So, now that spring break is over with, I look back at my spring break. I had a decent spring break, but it was rainy most days and that made it slightly not fun. But, I also had to take my Praxis I testing the saturday before having to head back to school. That wasn't a fun thing to do because I had to wake up at 5:30 in the morning and head out of my house by around 6:00 to make it upto my school by 7:30. Believe me, it's not a fun thing to do, espically while on break.

But, later on that day, it was fun and I enjoyed the rest of my saturday, after getting home around 1:00 Pm or so. Got to talk to the most amazing boyfriend in the entire world, got pelted by a bunch of cupcakes, and did a lot of fun stuff as well. So, in the end, my weekend was very fun and enjoyable, minus the going back to school part and the Praxis I testing part.

But, now that I'm back and Spring Break is offically over, I'm wondering what I'm going to do with myself. I feel like I'm stressing my eyeballs out. I have to work on a debate probject tomorrow with my Political Science 120 group. I also have to make sure to bring my grades up, even though I have been trying, but I have been sucking at it apparently. I just hate my Geography 102 class for the sheer fact that my teacher gives little video quizzes and little regular quizzes online and I always have a hard time with the regular reading quizzes because the answers are never in the book and I can never find the answers online and thus, I fail the quizzes and I'm going to talk to him tomorrow about it. I have an odd feeling at what he's going to say. "I'm sorry, but I don't know what to do to help you." Sadly enough, that's all he ever really says to help us. He says he wants to help us and yet, he sometimes doesn't help us with the things we need help with. But, that's a story for another day.

Well, at least there's only about a month and a half to two months left in the semester and until Summer Break. I'm going to need another break so that I don't completly and utterly loose my head. I'm also planning on taking some classes this summer at a local community college that I went to before going to Radford and then, having those classes I take transfer over to Radford, so I don't have to take them there and thus, would leave me open to take more classes, just in case. Knowing Radford, they might just be the end of me yet.

Anyways, I better let you guys so, I guess I'll talk to you guys later and I'll see you guys around!! :)

Valentine's Day coming soon to a town near you!!

Well, as you all you guys know, Valentine's Day is coming up in the next weekends. I can't believe it's almost a year since I met Kitty Sunny Dayz, one of the two loves of my life. Valentine's Day was the day I met and I fell in love with him that day too because he was so incrediable and amazing and I'm sooooooo glad I met him on that day. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I've met kitty. I remember that entire weekend quite well. I remember that on the 13th of February, the day before, which was a saturday, I came upto Radford University, for a couple hour tour of the campus, seeing if I wanted to come up here for good and apply and what-not. Several hours later, slightly after midnight, I met Kitty and we helped each other out of a deep hole.

Then, several weeks later, I met a guy named Scar, around St. Patrick's day. He was just as amazing Kitty and I wouldn't change meeting him either. Then, Scar and Kitty started dating each other not soon after because I had found someone really quick too. Then, the guy I had started dating had been lying to me, so I broke it off. Then, I heard that something happened to Kitty and Scar and then, Scar was like, it's ok if you want to date both of us, so we all started dating and we've been dating ever since.

I will say that I won't change my life for a thing. I know that Kitty, Scar and myself have all been through heck and high water, but we've made it through together. This Valentine's Day, I know I'll be with the two most incrediable guys in the entire world and I wouldn't change it for the world :) :D

Saturday, January 8, 2011

So, here's an update on life :)

Well, what can I say about life right now? Well, a lot has happened since the beginning of 2011. I can't believe that it's already seven days into the new year. I just don't want to think about going back to school quiet yet. I go back to school until around Martin Luther King Jr. day and I start up my new major then as well. Also, I meet my guys of my life for the first time in real life in March, when I'm on spring break, so I'm really excited about that.

I can't wait to hold both my guys in March. Noone knows how much I've been waiting for that and everything. Kitty was suppose to come over Christmas/Winter break, but he lost his sister and wasn't able to come up here for my birthday. But, that's alright because it just means that I can have something to look foward to over Spring Break, for it means spring break will be ever so much more special. I can't wait for it and to hold my guys for the first time.

But, I start up the spring semester around the 17th or 18th of January and I can't wait for that to happen. I can't wait because it'll start up my history/social science degree program with a teaching option and I'm so happy about that. I'll miss some of the good people I've met while I was in the music department, but I am happy to be out of the music program. It was very heptic and I hated how I was always a little icky when I was in the music program. I wanted to get away from there every single last weekend and I was happy when friday at 4:00 PM came around because it meant that I was going to head home and I was very happy about that.

Well, onto some other news. Today, I heard about an Arizona senator being shot and some of her staff were killed by a twenty-two year old man. I'll tell you about his name when I learn more about what has been happening. But, this is a terrible loss for everyone because people's lives were taken today and others gravely injured and noone should have been hurt.

Well, I'm going to conclude today with a simple thought; Love thyself and love thy neighbor. With that, I love everyone and peace to everyone!! :)

Holy crap, it's already two days into 2011 :P

Well, as you can see, it's already two days into the new year. I can't believe at how much has already happened in thew year already and it has been only two days. But, thus far, it's been a good year thus far already and I can't wait to see what else will happen this year. I hope it's a good year for me and my friends and lovers.

Now, let's see. What are some of the new years resolutions that I came up with? Well, here are some of mine:

  1. Learn more about Philosophy
  2. Be nicer to people
  3. Becomre more well-rounded
  4. Do good in school
  5. Learn more about the people around me, like friends and stuff
  6. Learn more about my family tree
  7. Study Socialology and Pyschology
  8. Have really good hygeine
  9. Be healthy
  10. Become more fashionable
I don't know how many of them I'll keep or add, but I'll try and stick my new years resolutions this year and everything. So, what are some of your new years resolutions for 2011? I want to hear from everyone about some of their new years resolutions and stuff. I always find it interesting to hear people's resoltuions and everything and to hear what they are thinking about new years resolutions and stuff. I also like to see if people keep their resolutions over the year or if some or all of them fall out.

Well, I need to head out to go and check on a few things, so I'll catch you guys later, so be kind and always remember, tomorrow is a new day :)

My last thoughts of 2010

Well, with less then two hours left in 2010, I've been wondering about a lot of things with a new year coming up. I just can't believe that last year about this time, I had so many other worries about random stuff. I can't believe I turned 21 just a few a weeks ago. Had my first drink last night and I can't believe it. Wasn't as much as I originally thought I would drink, but I had a little bit. Maybe tomorrow, I'll have a little bit more and stuff. I just can't believe that 2011 is almost upon us and 2010 is coming to a close. I have a lot to be thankful for in my life. I have two incredible boyfriends that I love with all my heart and soul. Their names: Kitty and Scar. I love them with all my heart and soul. I wouldn't have changed this past year for anything. I wouldn't have kitty or scar if I didn't have the bad first.

But, with 2010 coming to a quick close, what I'll miss of this year is meeting the people in all the Radford and Virginia Western classes. My spring of 2010 at Virginia Western was one of the wackiest semesters I've ever had, alongside my Summer of 2010 semester, which was my first summer semester ever in college. But, for my first summer semester, it went very well and I'm glad that I made it through Virginia Western and then making it off to Radford and making it through my first semester up there. My first semester up at Raford was a hard semester, with everything that went on. Having a wierd, wacky roommate and then, having teachers from heck and back wasn't fun, but somehow, I made it with if not all my sanity, most of it. I made it through with the help of my family, friends, and my two amazing lovers. I don't think I would have made it through without them at my side, helping by keeping me in check and making it where I didn't say complete off the wall stuff. They made sure I didn't look like a complete and utter moron, like I know I've sounded sometimes. But, at least Radford's music semester is done and over with and I don't have to worry about the music department at Radford ever again and I'm happy about that. But, I will still talk to my amazing friends in the music department.

As for 2010, I don't know what to say about it. It showed me that I need to come out of my shell and become less of a shy person and go out and meet all kinds of people and make friends along the road, so that I have friends to look out for me and everything, even though I do have some pretty amazing friends as it is now. Just need to make sure to keep them close and never let go.

Well, seeing as it's past 11:15, I better head off to go and start counting this new year down. I hope everyone has a good new year and I'll see you all in 2011 :)

New Years 2011 :)

Only 6 more hours until 2011 you guys. Let's hope 2011 is a good one :)

Taking a look at 2011

Well, as 2010 comes to a close, we all look back and wonder what and who has made big impacts in our life over the past year or so. I know that Scar and Kitty have made big impacts on my life over the past year or so. They were there for me when I was down and in the dumps and they told me that it would be alright. But, they also told me straight up what I needed to do to change and become a good person as well and to better myself and stuff. So, Kitty and Scar are some of the best people to come into my life.

But, I've also had people who weren't so nice come into my life. They said that they loved me or were my friend and all they wanted was to use me. I've learned my lesson on that one. Also, ever since I've gotten upto Radford University, I've meet some good and bad people up there as well. I'm glad to have met the good people and to the bad people...too bad.

But, one of my new years resolutions is to become a better person. I know I've had my faults since I've started up at Radford, but I think it's just been some of the icky people I've met that made me a little icky, but it's the good people that made it all up and all better. To the good people, including the good friends, thank you for all that you've done and sorry if I've done anything stupid over the past several months and it has offended you or anything. Just been kind of icky lately with all the icky people and personalities. But, thank you for being yourselves and thank you for being such good friends in 2010.

Now, onto 2011 and onto the future. Where it will lead, nobody knows, but thus is the beauty of the future. It's always open to new expierences and new possibilites and you never know what you might run into. Hopefully, 2011 will be even better then 2010 and I hope that it'll be good to every single one of you.

Peace and love always,

Jonathan Coleman :)
